Many internet advertisers and SEO experts have learned how to get free traffic to your sight simply by paying attention to common spelling errors. These people are able to make big profits online daily by taking advantage of these typing mistakes. Keywords such as “how to get free traffic to your sight” are searched for daily and have almost no competition.

Cost per view CPV and pay per view PPV Internet advertisers can exploit these spelling mistakes by targeting commonly misspelled keywords and URLs. These errors are typically much less competitive and costly than correctly spelled keywords and URLs.

If you write a blog or place a misspelled keyword throughout a landing page or website, you will quickly learn how easy it is to get free traffic to your sight. Take, for example, the popular keyword Facebook. If an account manager notices an advertiser targeting Facebook.com on the DirectCPV advertising network, they will remove the URL; due to the extremely high traffic volume of the website, an advertiser can lose a substantial amount of money quickly. However, what if an advertiser was able to find common misspellings of the keyword?

As an example, let’s take the keyword Facebook and try to find the different ways people may spell it:

As you can see, there is a wide array of spelling errors for the word. However, these errors have already been widely used, making Facebook and its spelling error counterparts not the best URL or keyword to target. If you were to use this example, your target audience would be “Facebook users that are bad at spelling”. Unless you have an offer that fits this demographic perfectly, it would not be a good idea to target.

Rather, use this knowledge to spend time researching with keyword tools that suggest alternate spelling for popular words, such as “accommodation” (accommodation, accommodations…) or “thesaurus” (thesarus, theasaurus…). This is one of the simplest ways of how to get free traffic to your sight.

Marketing—and specifically internet marketing— places a huge importance on understanding the emotions and inclinations of potential customers in order to convince them to purchase a product or submit personal information.

In order to find success with cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) online advertising, advertisers need to completely understand the motivating factors that convince customers to click on a landing page and enter their information or purchase a product. In addition, advertisers have to be able to identify the emotions that will send customers away from an advertisement, website or landing page without making a single purchase.

When promoting products or websites using internet advertising, one of the most important emotions to pay attention to is customer anxiety. The internet has become known for being unsafe and untrustworthy. Your job, while promoting with internet advertising, is to make sure that every customer will feel safe and protected while purchasing a product.

The typical internet user feels anxious about protecting their safety on the internet. When submitting credit card numbers, there is a potential for identity theft. When submitting an email address, there is a likelihood of SPAM. If they are ordering merchandise, there is the chance it might not be delivered. To deal with these fears and concerns, an advertiser’s website or landing page should include everything possible that can reassure customers of their protection. There are several ways to reduce customer anxiety, including:

Certification: Any certificate or recognizable verification seal that can apply to your product should be added to your website or landing page. If you are promoting a prescription drug, become a member of a Pharmacy checker verification program. If you require credit card information, make sure to have a SSL certificate on your page.

Privacy Policy: Every credible website has a privacy policy, why shouldn’t yours? A privacy policy does not need to be extremely long and detailed. Focus on reassuring potential customers that you will not share any of their personal information.

Customer Testimonials: If you have had any positive feedback about the product or website you are promoting, put it in a highly visible location. People will be more willing to trust an advertiser if there is proof that others have paid money for and used a product.

An address or phone number: Points of contact will put a customer’s mind at ease and help them recognize that your product is not a scam.

Trust symbols: These symbols show that you have a reliable business. Apply for a Better Business Seal or Safe Shopping guarantees.

Over the next few days, DirectCPV will be helping advertisers to better understand and reduce customer alienation and customer confusion. Stay tuned to learn more tips and tricks on how to get the highest conversions by managing customer emotions.

LeadsCon Las Vegas 2010, held from February 23-24 at the Mirage Hotel & Casino, was a huge success! This interactive conference is a must-attend for anyone involved in the online lead generation industry. For the entire two days, DirectCPV was surrounded by over 2,000 of the top lead buyers, lead sellers, affiliates, technology solution providers and investment professionals from around the world.

The DirectCPV booth was hugely popular, and the amount of positive feedback blew us all away! Thousands of attendees took the time to find out about our cost per view (CPV) and pay per view (PPV) contextual advertising. Many didn’t believe the cost at only $0.01 for targeted campaigns and $0.004 for run of network coverage!

Keynote speaker Dan Ariely, a behavioural economist and author of the bestselling book “Predictably Irrational”. His speech focused on behavioural economics and how to understand consumer decision-making to better shape online offers. Key points were raised on how advertisers can increase sales, leads and brand awareness simply by rewording or restructuring an offer. Incredibly enlightening!

Sadly, all good things come to an end. But, before the conference could be officially over, we had to check out the LeadsCon after party. People from all over met on the dance floor at the XS nightclub in the Encore Hotel & Casino. Check out our photo gallery for photos and videos from the party!

We hope you enjoyed LeadsCon Las Vegas 2010 and we look forward to seeing you at the next DirectCPV event.

At this moment in Las Vegas, thousands of lead buyers, lead sellers, technology solution providers and investment professionals are meeting at the Mirage Hotel & Casino for LeadsCon 2010. This event is a must-attend for anyone involved in the online lead generation industry, and last year’s event sold out early!

Attending tradeshows and exhibitions around the country is incredibly important in the internet marketing business for advertisers, affiliates and networks alike. Networking, learning, meeting people, and getting new tools to gain an edge in the business are all part of the experience (and don’t forget about the parties!)

As a contextual cost per view CPV and pay per view PPV advertising network, we at DirectCPV make an effort to attend all of these events. Having personal conversations with our clients and meeting new potential advertisers, is a priceless opportunity. Taken from our experience, here are some great tips on how to get the most out of each exhibition, tradeshow and conference:

1. Spend lots of time in the exhibit hall. The exhibit hall at any event is a great way to meet merchants and find out what they have to offer. Take advantage of the free prize draws or competitions. Collect business cards and always reciprocate. Give out your business card to merchants you’re interested in. Networking always pays off sooner or later.

2. Schedule meetings in advance. If you’re planning on having any meetings with advertising networks, affiliates, or merchants, it’s important to schedule in advance. Everyone will be extremely busy throughout the tradeshow and might not have any free time available. If you can’t book a meeting, ask if you can grab a quick lunch together.

3. Stay at the hotel where the conference is being held. If you can afford it, try to stay in the same hotel as the conference. Conserve your energy by taking breaks and heading upstairs once and awhile to get yourself organized. It will also save travel time and cost by being close to the action.

4. Make time for the keynote speaker. If there is a keynote speaker at the conference, take some time out of your day to listen to him/her speak. These speakers are always chosen because they are the best at what they do. Be prepared to listen and take notes.

5. Attend parties and events. Outside of the actual conference, sponsored parties are the best way to meet new people. Enjoy the entertainment and remember that you can always sleep when you get home.

After you arrive home from a conference, remember that your work isn’t done yet! Always try to follow up with your business cards. Phone or email any connections you may have made, it’s crucial to stay in touch and make yourself memorable.

Ever tried to find a list of the most popular sites to target your ads? How about by language, country or industry? What was once a time-consuming, if not impossible, task is now very easy thanks to an increasingly popular tool called LivelyBrowser.

Livelybrowser.com is a goldmine for online advertisers who use cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertising. LivelyBrowser makes it easier to find the right websites to target by accessing their list of 100 of the most popular websites online. For advertisers who require more coverage, 10,000 site lists are priced from around $25 to $400+ (most lists are updated weekly).

With LivelyBrowser, advertisers can surf the internet using their patented “tree mode”, which is similar to browsing websites using a traditional tabbed browser window. Using the tree mode, CPV or PPV advertisers can view hundreds of web pages simultaneously to find valuable sites to target their online marketing campaigns. With the ability to scan sites quickly, targeting and URL selection becomes a much simpler and faster process.

Another useful product offered by Livelybrowser is the Facebook FriendAdder and Twitter FriendAdder. Both of these programs allow cost per view and pay per view advertisers to easily manage their Facebook friends and Twitter followers with just a few clicks. Using the Facebook FriendAdder, you can manage multiple accounts and increase your exposure by finding friends to add through group members, page fans, or other’s friends.

If you are spending too much time trying to find the right URLs to target your online advertising campaigns, give Livelybrowser a try. You may find it very useful to harness the full potential of CPV and PPV advertising. For more information about LivelyBrowser or contextual cost per view and pay per view advertising, visit http://www.directcpv.com

Increasing the number of visitors and targeted traffic to your website is the best way to make sales, increase leads and boost brand awareness. DirectCPV would like to provide you with 10 tips that will help advertisers and affiliates get guaranteed contextually targeted traffic to a web site or landing page.

1. Optimize your website or landing page

SEO (search engine optimization) can be a full-time job and if you don’t understand it, invest the money to hire an expert to start you off. Fill your website with keywords and phrases that people will use to search and come to your website. Create Meta tags for your site that include your main keywords, a website title and a description. Don’t fill your page with animations or fancy graphics that will make it hard for search engine bots to read, index and rank the site.

2. Submit your Site to Search Engines

Don’t just sit back and wait for search engines to find your page, take the initiative! Submit your website to Google, Yahoo, Bing, DMOZ, etc… The more websites and directories your page is listed in, the higher the chance of receiving quality traffic.

3. Use Internet Advertising

There are multiple ways of advertising online and if you start an ad campaign early, there is more chance your website will be ranked high in search engines. Cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) display advertising is one of the best and cheapest ways to get targeted traffic to your web site.

4. Offer free products

Nobody can resist free products and users will flock to your site to see what you are giving away. Include a free eBook, a discount coupon, a prize, or hold a monthly contest. Another good option is submitting coupons to free coupon websites such as CoolFreebieLinks.com, providing a link back opportunity.

5. Become an expert at something

If you are not an expert at anything, learn how to fake it! People love free advice, so find sites where you can answer questions (ex. Forums) and take some time to provide detailed answers. You may become known as an expert in your niche. Don’t forget to add your website URL at the end of each answer.

These tips for driving targeted traffic to your web site are being used by most internet marketing professionals today. Be prepared to put time and effort into promoting your site and you will begin to see your traffic grow tenfold!

For more information on getting targeted web site traffic to your site with cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertising, visit www.directCPV.com

DirectCPV advertising network holds certain standards for every contextually targeted advertisement that we serve. As a result, advertisers using our cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) internet advertising may sometimes get their landing pages rejected. To help you understand the reason your landing page or advertisement was not approved, here is the complete list of rejection reasons for advertising with DirectCPV:

1. No Adult Content

2. No Gambling Ads in North America

3. No registry cleaner, Adware/Spyware removal, or antivirus programs

4. Audio that plays automatically and is NOT initiated by a user

5. Audio that contains explicit language (swearing or sexually-oriented)

6. Tobacco Advertisement

7. Questionable discriminatory content (Racist or hate-crime related content)

8. Any prohibited content whatsoever

9. R level Profanity (Words that are not allowed on Prime-time TV)

10. Hard Liquor advertisement

11. Exit scripts or exit pop ups

12. Pharmacy related offers

13. No downloadable applications

14. No celebrity endorsed landing pages (this occurs most frequently with diet pills)

15. Blogs that do not fit our standards

16. Advertisements for other publisher/advertiser networks (ex. PPC/PPV networks)

As a distinguished advertising network, we strictly uphold these restrictions and follow them rigorously. Certain advertisements have been deemed illegal in North America, and we respect these conditions. If you feel as if there has been an error in your landing page rejection, please contact your account manager.

Contextual targeting and contextual advertising is a new way of advertising that is becoming increasingly popular. Some advertisers still believe that contextual advertising is not as effective as search advertising. However, contextual targeting is less competitive and will provide advertisers much better ROI if used correctly.

There are three main reasons as to why an advertiser may not realize the full benefits of contextual targeting and they include:

1. Ads appear on irrelevant pages and get bad clicks and low conversion rates

2. Ads don’t command attention or distract users from website content

3. Leaving an ad campaign to run by itself

One problem that advertisers consistently encounter is choosing the right keywords to fit an ad campaign. Keywords by themselves are not separate units, the most common algorithms used by advertising networks look at the keyword list as a whole to judge which sites are best to serve the ads. Spend time researching the best keywords or using keyword scraping tools to get the best results. If properly used, the keywords in an ad group should describe the interests of the specific audience you wish to attract to your ad. Your keyword should be full of the words that you want to appear most frequently on the pages you think your desired customer will be viewing.

It seems elementary, but often advertisers forget: boring advertisements are more likely to be forgotten and ignored. In the cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertising industry, it is important to grab the viewer’s attention and hold it. Make your ad stand out by adding interesting images, animation, or declarative statements. Be more competitive, offer free shipping or a coupon to convince them to visit your page. Most importantly, test each ad campaign thoroughly.

The last mistake, leaving an ad campaign to run by itself, is made by amateurs and seasoned pros alike. It is incredibly important to always pay attention to the reports on your cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertisements. Study performance reports, use tracking tools and monitor which sites and pages your ads are showing up on.

Contextual targeting can be a profitable venture for internet advertisers, and CPV or PPV advertisements are a great way to increase sales and traffic. Learn from your mistakes and become a better online advertiser.

Members of the online advertising industry are constantly growing, learning and changing their methods in order to keep up with the transformations that are always occurring in technology. In the cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertising industry, there is a continuous debate over the difference and success rate of contextual targeting and behavioural targeting for internet advertising. So which is better in the battle for targeting glory?

First things first, contextual advertising is a form of highly targeted advertising that serves relevant ads that appear on websites or other forms of media. The advertisements are selected based on the content that is being displayed to the user in real-time technology.

In most cases, contextual targeting operates by scanning the entire text or content of a website for specific keywords to provide the best fitting advertisement. If a user is viewing a webpage that focuses on weight loss or body building, an advertisement for a related company, such as Acai berry diet pill, will appear. Contextual targeting is also widely used by search engines to serve advertisements that are based on the keywords typed into the search box.

On the other hand, behavioural targeting for internet advertising focuses on the user’s online tendencies to increase the effectiveness of ad campaigns. This type of targeting involves collecting a user’s web-browsing patterns, searching history and behaviour. Many advertisers believe that this allows for the deliverance of the most relevant advertisements possible.

Which type of targeting is better? Is there a higher CTR rate for contextual targeting or behavioural targeting for cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) internet advertising? While there is still no definite answer, a study was recently conducted by Synovate for Vendare which asked adult consumers what type of targeted online advertisement they were more likely to click on. The results revealed that 62% were more likely to respond to contextual ads, 28% liked demographically targeted ads, 24% responded to geographical targeting and only 18% said they were likely to click on ads served based on behavioural targeting.

Contextual targeting is also a great option for cost per view (CPV) advertisers because it greatly increases the chance to communicate with users by enabling them to send different offers to the same user at different times. There are only a limited number of users, but an infinite number of user interests. The usual internet web surfer can look through more than 10 to 15 different types of website content throughout the day.

Don’t start eliminating behavioural targeting from your cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) ad campaign just yet though. A mixture of targeting practices that includes demographic, geographic and behavioural targeting is still one of the smartest strategies for online advertising.
